So when we developed our Harness Impact Network for member acquisition, Heritage was a natural fit to explore this new approach. As a community-focused credit union, they represented exactly the kind of organization that could benefit from connecting with locally-engaged prospects through nonprofit partnerships.
Heritage's marketing was working, but at a premium price point. Instead of expensive traditional marketing, they could tap into our established network of vetted local nonprofits in the Permian Basin. Organizations like Communities in Schools (CIS) that we'd worked with for years and knew could deliver impact.
The approach was brilliantly simple: Heritage would offer matching donations (up to $5,000 per nonprofit, $25 per donor), and we'd handle everything else—nonprofit coordination, donor data capture, campaign execution. This meant Heritage could connect with community-minded prospects who were already engaged with causes they cared about, all while demonstrating their values in action.
The matching campaigns delivered exactly what we promised: quality leads at just $25 each—a significant 71% reduction from Heritage's traditional $75-100 cost per lead.
